About Melbourne Sailing Adventures
The SV Alexander Stewart, is a family-owned 60ft timber yacht built by a father, uncle and grandfather - Clive, John & Alexander Mitchell - they were boatbuilders by trade and it took them almost 20 years to build. As a result, the attention to detail is exceptional, with hand-carved timber throughout.  Tours will explore Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay, stopping in at places like Portarlington, Portsea and Point Nepean and seeing dolphins, seals and fairy penguins along the way.
  • 9 double cabins
  • 2 bathrooms
  • Sleeps 18 including crew
The boat is perfect for overnight trips and has been working in the Whitsunday Islands for the last 10 years or so. The crew consists of a skipper, a deckhand and a cook.

As a family, we travel to Melbourne every year for vacation and this would, without a doubt, be one of the best experiences we have had on vacation to this beautiful city. Sailing the bay, dolphin watching, the amazing views and photo opportunities of the city and surrounding coast lines…combined with wonderful hospitality from the moment we were welcomed aboard…made for a most memorable afternoon. We will definitely be sailing again with Melbourne Sailing Adventures on our return. To Captain Chris and the crew…thank you for a wonderful family sailing adventure.
